Availability Update
Thanks so much for your interest in staying at The Cabin.
We’d like to let guests know that The Cabin will be unavailable for holiday bookings from June 2026 to October 2027.
During this time, the cabin has been booked to accommodate people working on a critical infrastructure project on Lord Howe Island. The project will be taking place close to The Cabin and, while it’s an important investment in the island’s future, the level of day-to-day activity and its impact on the surrounding area is difficult to predict.
As a small and newly established business, our priority is to make sure every guest enjoys a peaceful, relaxing stay. With the possibility of increased activity, noise, or changes nearby, we felt it was best to pause guest bookings during this period rather than risk affecting your holiday experience.
Reopening
We’re looking forward to welcoming guests back and expect The Cabin to reopen for stays from October 2027.
If you’re planning a visit after this time, please feel free to get in touch — we’d love to hear from you.

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting a small local business. We hope to welcome you to The Cabin and to Lord Howe Island in the future.
Warmly,
The Cabin
